The Philosophy Department at UB has a faculty with expertise and scholarship across broad areas of the discipline. We have a large PhD program, and we also offer an MA with several specialized concentration options. Undergraduates may pursue both a major and minor. We maintain an active colloquium series and usually put on one to three conferences annually. The Department also has cross-disciplinary ties with other units of the University, including the Law School, the Baldy Center for Law and Social Policy, the Asian Studies Program, the Humanities Institute, and the Buffalo Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences.
